So this is where we first stayed.....

This pool was a fresh water pool, the gardens around the pools were beautiful - it was all very relaxing.
This was the salt water pool - much quieter and super relaxing. I took to floating and watching the birds and clouds above.

Entrance to the place where we stayed.
I love the colour of the tiles in the pool. We swam every day and by the end of the trip I was jumping into the pool like a pro ( I am normally painfully slow at getting into the pool).
Water feature pool, it was a very deep pool - even over Damian's head!

Seem to have included this one twice - it was a very nice pool.
One of the locals, they were very cute and fast.
We spent an evening outside on our wee swinging chair with a bottle of bubbles watching the night roll in ( which happened about 6pm)

Our little house was right by the sea, you just crossed the road and you were there - it was wonderful listening to the sound of the waves at night.

Inside our wee house - did I mention we had our own spa pool - it was bliss!

So recapping, Damian and I had 5 days in Oz before the rest of the tribe turned up. We stayed at the Sebel Resort and Spa, Palm Cove which was about half way between Cairns and Port Douglas and it was wonderful. The room was lovely. The pools where fantastic as too was the food. We fell into the delightful routine of getting up, having breakfast, going for a walk and then we were pool side reading and swimming for pretty much most of the day. The evening was spent finding somewhere nice to dine. We found a lovely pizzeria which made wonderful proper Italian pizza, we also tired to eat as much seafood as possible. There are a few shots of the beach and aside from walking up and down it we stayed poolside as there was a rather annoying breeze blowing when you were by the sea. Breeze aside it was pretty impressive. Oh and there was a spa - I loved this , getting up from my poolside chair and going for a spa pamper then returning to the pool super relaxed - it was bliss!
